It has been so nice out lately hasn't it??? I LOVE it!!! Derek and I have been going on bike rides, playing frisbee and having picnics in the park and also doing some backyard bbq'ing :) It's definitely putting me in the mood for summer and it's technically not even spring yet! What's a girl to do?!? March is supposedly one of our snowiest months here in Denver, and so far it's been nothing but 60 and 70 degree days!

A trip to Iowa
I drove back to Des Moines, IA last week to attend my grandmother's funeral. While it is always sad to attend funerals, I was kind of happy for my grandma. She was almost 91 years old and led a good long life! Plus, she was finally able to be with her husband who passed away many many years before her. It was good to see aunts, uncles, cousins and 2nd cousins that I haven't seen in years! I felt a little guilty that it had been so long since I'd seen them, but it's my own fault I suppose for choosing to live so far away.
The funeral gave me the opportunity to meet and hang out with Aiden & Addison, my new nephew and neice who are now 2 weeks old! I must be honest, I felt a little uncomfortable holding such newborn babies. They are soooo tiny!!! And all they seem to do is just sleep all day...what a life! Sleep, eat, poop, cry....repeat. That appears to be what their lives consist of for the moment. I'm jealous! What do I remember most about meeting the twins you might wonder? Well, my brother "let" me feed Aiden a bottle. I say "let" because I did not volunteer, rather I was forced. It was cute and peaceful, until it was time for burp #2...at which time the little nugget threw up all over me!!!! I didn't know a baby that small could projectile vomit like he did! I was soaked....and it was disgusting :( That will teach my siblings to "let" me feed their newborns - ha!

I also, of course, got to hang out with all my other nieces and nephews and had a lot of fun. We went to Jaden's 2nd grade concert, played basketball with Ty and Alex, read books with Kaylie and pushed Gabby around in a tricycle. The whole trip went by very fast and I can't wait to see them all again this summer!!!!

10 Things that Bug me
I was tagged so here are the things that bug me:
1) People always telling me that I look like I am 21 years old.
2) Toilet seats left up by men.
3) How expensive it is to fly from Denver to Des Moines...what happened to the good old days of $130 for a round trip flight?!?
4) When people use the same phrases over and over all the time. Such as the phrase"ya know" at the end of every sentence...drives me crazy!
5) The fact that I turn bright red for no reason when talking to people, or when I have to talk in front of a large group - such as a Monday morning meeting at work... ugh....
6) Not being able to leave the lights on at my house due to the fact that my boyfriend is a light nazi! It's always so dark and cold in our house :( Why can't there be light and warmth? Why??
7) Being late.
8) When people tell you the same thing three different times and you actually understood them the first time... yet they keep talking....
9) Meetings that go on and on that could have been accomplished in a mere 10 minutes.
10) Having motion sickness...it's no fun!!! And what's worse is when people don't believe me that I actually get it!
So now I'm supposed to tag people... but I don't know anyone else that has a blog that could post this! Derek maybe???
